The Minnesota GLBTA Campus Alliance is proud to present their first annual Pride Revue, held this year at the Minneapolis campus of Metropolitan State University. This event will showcase a diverse array of performance art and will offer attendees a chance to enjoy an alcohol-free event during Twin Cities/GLBT Pride. The 2008 Pride Revue will feature the following professional performers: Sick of Sarah, Ellis, Kevin Moore, Curt Lund, Minneapolis Poetry Slam, and Calliope Women’s Chorus, as well as amateur acts in spoken word, comedy, music, and drag performance.
This event is a Twin Cities/GLBT Pride Community Event and is open to everyone 16 years of age and older with a suggested donation of $10. Doors open 7:30pm. More information at: http://www.mncampusalliance.org/priderevue.
We’re having a Pride Revue on Friday, June 27 from 8:00–11:30pm! This event will be 16+ and will be an option for youth and those not interested in bar-centric events. It will take place at the Minneapolis campus of Metropolitan State University, near Loring Park where the Twin Cities Pride is held. We need people willing to perform at this event. We’re looking for all types of performances, including, but not limited to: drag, poetry, spoken word, comedy, music, interpretive dance, and juggling. Each performance should be between 5-10 minutes in length.
To submit your performance for the Pride Revue, please send your name, contact information (phone, email, etc.), and a brief description of your performance to email@example.com. Feel free to send files or links of your performance video or audio, though this is not required. Please submit this information by Friday, May 16.
Volunteers are needed to help plan the first-ever MN Campus Alliance Pride Revue, which is taking place on Friday, June 27 from 8:00–11:00pm at Minneapolis Community and Technical College.
The Pride Revue will be an evening of entertainment for those 18+ and people looking for a sober alternative during the weekend of Twin Cities / GLBT Pride!
We need help finding entertainment acts such as bands, drag performers, and poetry slammers; we also need help with advertising, planning logistics, and finding businesses to help sponsor the event.
If you are interested, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. Anyone and everyone is invited to help plan this new event!
