Minnesota OUT! Campus Conference 2009 Planning Underway

McNally Smith College of Music in St. Paul is proud to host the Minnesota OUT! Campus Conference in 2009. We are currently looking for 2 Conference Coordinators:

Conference Coordinators (2)

The Conference Coordinators’ responsibilities include co-chairing the Minnesota OUT! Campus Conference Planning Committee (MOCC); and leading efforts to plan the upcoming annual MOCC; working with Coordinators on fundraising, budget development, and branding, among other things.  The two Conference Coordinators have one collective vote on the Board.

Eligibility Requirements

One of the Conference Coordinators, at the time of one’s election, must be a registered student, staff, or faculty member at the host institution for the upcoming MOCC.  The other, at the time of one’s election, must be a resident of the state of Minnesota or primarily engaged within the state of Minnesota.

Board Elections Coming Nov. 24

At last week’s Minnesota Out! Campus Conference we elected our Student Co-Chairperson and Regional Representatives for the 2008–2009 year, but there are several board positions still open for election at our meeting on November 24th.

The events and services we offer to campuses across the state are all thanks to the talented leadership on the MN Campus Alliance board who help make it all possible. We need your talent! If you want to get involved and help make a difference with us, this might be the opportunity you’re looking for!

• At-Large Representatives (4) – Approximately 10 hours per month

• Communications Coordinator (1)—Approximately 40 hours per month
• Conference Coordinators (2)—Approximately 40 hours per month
• Development Coordinator (1)—Approximately 30 hours per month
• Diversity & Inclusion Coordinator (1)—Approximately 30 hours per month
• Finance Coordinator (1)—Approximately 30 hours per month
• Internal Relations Coordinator (1)—Approximately 30 hours per month
• Outreach Coordinator (1)—Approximately 40 hours per month

MN Campus Alliance Recieves $5,000 PFund Grant

The Minnesota GLBTA Campus Alliance has been awarded a $5,000 grant from PFund Foundation for its Training and Education Initiatives Program! With this funding, the MN Campus Alliance will be able to train at colleges, universities, and community organizations around the state at low to no cost.  It will also be able to produce training materials and manuals for attendees.

MN Campus Alliance would like to thank PFund for its amazing, ongoing support of its programs and initiatives.
