The University of Minnesota Twin Cities GLBTA Programs Office and the Minnesota GLBTA Campus Alliance have joined forces to bring you Call to Action, the first collaborative conference between the Minnesota OUT! Campus Conference (MOCC) and the University of Minnesota System Wide Summit on GLBT Issues.
Call to Action is a 2 day conference for all students, staff, faculty, alumni and community members from around the state of Minnesota and surrounding region to discuss topics around gay, lesbian, bisexual, trans*, and ally (GLBTA) communities on college and university campuses and in the greater community. Attendees will network, discuss LGBT topics, be challenged, and learn valuable skills around building coalitions, fostering activism, and developing leadership through a lens of social justice.
The theme of the conference, Movements, Milestones, and Momentum, focuses on the LGBT movement’s beginnings, challenges we’ve faced, victories and defeats, where the movement is headed, and what we can do as agents of social change to positively affect our future.
