E-Newsletter Update

The listserv used to distribute the MN Campus Alliance E-Newsletter was originally provided by the University of Minnesota. Now that our website mncampusalliance.org is fully up and running, we plan to switch over to a proprietary lists manager with our own servers.

What does that mean for subscribers? Soon you’ll receive an email from our Mailing List Manager, requesting confirmation that you still want to subscribe to the mailing list. Simply click the  link included in that email, and you’ll remain subscribed through the new system.

This should happen very soon, so be on the lookout for our email. Please send any questions to communications@mncampusalliance.org about this or any comments about the E-Newsletter.

Pride Revue Coming June 27

The Minnesota GLBTA Campus Alliance is proud to present their first annual Pride Revue, held this year at the Minneapolis campus of Metropolitan State University.

Call for Pride Revue Performers

We’re having a Pride Revue on Friday, June 27 from 8:00–11:30pm! This event will be 16+ and will be an option for youth and those not interested in bar-centric events. It will take place at the Minneapolis campus of Metropolitan State University, near Loring Park where the Twin Cities Pride is held. We need people willing to perform at this event. We’re looking for all types of performances, including, but not limited to: drag, poetry, spoken word, comedy, music, interpretive dance, and juggling. Each performance should be between 5-10 minutes in length.

To submit your performance for the Pride Revue, please send your name, contact information (phone, email, etc.), and a brief description of your performance to clut0004@umn.edu. Feel free to send files or links of your performance video or audio, though this is not required. Please submit this information by Friday, May 16.

Limited Seating Left for MBLGTACC Bus

Due to unexpected demand for seats on the chartered bus to the Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Ally College Conference held this year in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, the MN Campus Alliance has decided to go ahead with ordering a second charter bus to handle all the conference-goers. We were able to get a fair price for the bus, and are offering space for $70.00 per person to you or anyone else from your campus. To reserve a space, please send us the following information:

• The name of your institution

Also, please let us know if you require any special accommodations such as wheelchair accessibility. As of this writing, there are only about fifteen spaces left. We would love to have you join us, so please contact info@mncampusalliance.org right away to reserve your seat on the bus.
